As part of Translink’s commitment to providing sustainable transport and attracting new customers, we have developed a new initiative called “Smart Movers”, targeting residents in new housing developments.
The scheme aims to encourage new home residents to use public transport in their area for its convenience, value-for-money and to help families live in a more sustainable way.
South Belfast's waterfront apartment development, The Embankment at Annadale is the second development to come onboard with the scheme. Translink recently joined forces with property developers The Carvill Group to introduce the free transport initiative for residents.

The Embankment is served by a frequent Metro bus service* and Translink is offering each household a free Translink Metro Smartlink card for unlimited travel on all Metro bus services for one week.
*The Embankment is within easy access of several Translink Metro Services including: 29/29a/29b/29c; a short walk from Stranmillis Road where the Metro 8a service operates; and near the Ormeau Road where the frequent Metro Corridor 7 operates every 5-7 minutes at peak times.
